Back to "old-fashioned" TV. :-)

Indoor antennas tend to be less expensive and you don't need a pro to shimmy up to the roof and install something, but the quality of the received signal is compromised due to building interference. You'd end up buying a powered antenna that can amplify and try to clean up the signal the best it can.

Outdoor antennas can be a bit more expensive, depending on the size (how far away the TV station antennas are) and equipment (mast, antenna, clamps, amplifiers, signal distribution). You also may be restricted in terms of where you can locate the antenna. But, more likely the signal will be much cleaner than using an indoor.

Those are the factors to consider. You'll have to figure out what works best in your situation.
