Please give a good suggestion what should I get for my air conditioner system. Trane XB13 and Goodman GCS13 are both 2.5 tons

Don't get anything with the old refrigerant (R-22 -- like in the Trane) that is being phased out due to environmental problems -- get the new stuff (R-410). I'm not saying that because of the environment (though that's a good reason), but because it will be in very short supply later when your equipment will need servicing. I had that happen with my car's A/C (before I sold it) and it cost a lot of $$ to get it recharged because the old refrigerant cost so much (and they know they can stick it to you).

Also, I saw a consumer article that noted that the R-410 versions are more reliable because it needs higher pressure. Apparently, that eliminates several ways that the mfg's used to cheap out on and ends up giving you a better A/C in the long run.

So, it's worth it to pay a little more now for the R-410 than pay a lot later for the R-22. (I got a Bryant 2.5 ton with the R-410 in 2000 and it works great).
