I have this digital camera and I put ALOT of frames on the pictures. When I get my pictures printed, will the frames be on the picture? Or will it not even print?

The Canon Digital IXUS 65 (sold as Powershot SD630 in the US) does not let you directly control aperture or shutter speed manually. The "manual" mode is really a program AE mode. Mine keeps giving me an aperture of f/2.8 when I'm taking photographs of buildings (and most outdoor shots, actually, but particularly buildings). This consistently gives me too narrow a depth of field. Does anyone have any ways of tricking it into keeping a wider aperture?

The February 2007 issue of Popular Photography has just come out and they compared the top 10 MP DSLR's. I am posting this question for general information and so I can refer to it in future answers.

I took the scores and ranked the cameras similar to the way Formula 1 gives championship points. I just gave 5 for 1st place down to 1 for last place, splitting the difference when cameras tied in their catagories.

They evaluated Image Quality (giving this twice as much weight as anything else), Ease of Use, Control, and System Flexibility.

The final order and my scores are:

Nikon D80 - 17.5 points
- BEST in Image Quality, Control and System Flexibility
Canon Rebel XTi - 13.5 points
- Tied for best in System Flexibility
Pentax K10D - 11 points
- Tied for best in Ease of Use
Samsung GX10 - 11 points
- Tied for best in Ease of Use
Sony Alpha 100 - 7 points
- LAST in Image Quality, Ease of Use and System Flexibility.

What are YOUR thoughts on the outcome of the test?

I bought this camera. It worked for about 4 months and then it stopped working. I sent it back because it had a 1 year warrenty. They sent it back to me saying it was fixed. It was fixed for about 2 months and then I started having problems with it again. Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Problem with my Nikon D50 with AF-s DX 18-55mm lens, while the manual focus works fine, the autofocus won't work at all. I have tried to fix it, reset it etc What has happened with my camera and will I have to buy a new lens?! Please help, thank you.

I would like to eliminate my 18-55mm kit lens completely, as it is a piece of poo. We know how expensive good lenses can be, so I would like one that can do everything. I know that's a lot to expect from just one lens. Right now, I take the basic city shots (I live in New York, carry my camera everywhere), and some pictures of my family. I need something GOOD. I've been reading Scott Kelby's 'The Digital Photography Book,' and he mentions that his friend bought a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens for his camera. Maybe something equivalent? Although it is a $1000 lens. I guess I'm willing to spend that much, if it's gonna get me TACK SHARP pictures. Thanks y'all

I need to buy a digital camera tomorrow. I cant spend more than 260 US$, whats the best camera I'll find for that price or less? Is there an optical zoom camera on the market for that price? Ive been told by many people I should not buy a Digital zoom camera, I must buy a Optical Zoom camera, why is that? Is it really so important? Please dont give me anymore links just advice.

I am looking forward to buying a camera for spotting airplanes at mostly VNY, BUR and LAX. I want to get a 70-300 mm lens and a cannon camera. I dont know which model is good is the XT fine or the XTi is much better. Are there any new camera's that will be released by cannon in that price range any time soon.

I have had the Nikon Coolpix S1 for less than a year and recently noticed that the screen has gone completely blank. I can still see the LCD monitor and picture archive. I have reset all my settings but to no avail.

Furthermore, there is a little red blinking box with a hand on the top right corner of the screen. What does this mean???
