I bought this camera. It worked for about 4 months and then it stopped working. I sent it back because it had a 1 year warrenty. They sent it back to me saying it was fixed. It was fixed for about 2 months and then I started having problems with it again. Did anyone else have a similar experience?

You also didn't say which model.

My lab sold the Fuji A500. I had 5 in stock before Christmas. I took one out of the package to take some test shots for display. Installed batteries and card, snapped a couple inside and then stepped outside for some more. Turned the camera back on, lens came out, but refused to snap and said focus error. Tried for a while, gave up. Lens will not retract. Sent this one back to warehouse. Camera #2 worked fine.

Sold all four of the A500s. Two came back with the exact same problem, they all say focus error and the lenses refuse to retract.

That means three of five Fuji A500 cameras had the same problem.

We also had an A350 returned for not working.

Fuji supposedly has some nice offerings, the F10 and F30 in particular. Maybe this problem is confined to the entry level A series, or maybe I just gor a bad shipment, who knows?

I would send it back and ask for a new model. Good luck!

once you're saying you could alter the "exposure indicator" is it metered in steps like -a million/3, -a million/2, -a million, +a million/3, +a million/2, +a million, etc? if so, what this placing does is rigidity the digital camera to underexpose or overexpose the image, based on the settings. that's clever in numerous settings. once you alter the aperture, the digital camera will look on the finished photograph being shaped, and calculate the shutter velocity to appropriate disclose the prevalent photograph. even although, this would possibly not be what you actual need, based on the lighting fixtures and assessment interior the show. to grant you an occasion, i latterly went out one night to take a image of the moon with my new 70-300mm telephoto/zoom lens. I zoomed in, and set the aperture extremely small. The digital camera calcualted the shutter velocity, and that i took a image. the result exchange right into a black history with a vivid white spot the place the moon exchange into. that's simply by fact the prevalent scene exchange into so darkish that the digital camera calculated the exposure, and the vivid white moon exchange into overexposed. So, I set my exposure placing to -2 (it is, as I are conscious of it, comparable to placing the shutter velocity 2 steps down--in shutter priority, this could have led to placing the aperture 2 steps down). I reshot the image, and the moon got here out appropriate uncovered.

I've never had an issue with that brand before, and neither has my friend. What problems is it having?
