There is a slot to fit into an external flash but i would geting something else than getting the orginal sony flash light.

THIS IS A TOTALLY NEW ANSWER SO CHECK IT OUT:

Check previous models of Konica/Minolta flashes as they will fit the bracket.

Popular Photography that just came (Feb) addresses this issue with an article on page 36. There used to be an adapter made by Minolta called the FS-1100. It has been out of production for a long time, but Herb Keppler one shows up on eBay every now and then. He's seen them sell for $60!

There is a new product made by a company called Gadget Infinity that only sells direct. It's $16, but I'm sure there are shipping charges on top of that.
