after having my olympus sp500 stolen from mom's nursing home I cant help but laugh that its a pretty low standard(no image stab) cam i got on close out for $210 at frys, Now I am deciding between the fujifilm 9.0 mp 7.4 zoom for $200 on ebay out the door or the canon s3 power shot 6mp with 12 zoom for $260 since I don't really do far away shots which one is best for me?(indoor family shots and close range traveling shots

my mom hates it when i play my ps2 out in the living with the plasma tv, she just want us to play it either in my room, or the cheep tv in the guest room(not even in her room!! i know!)
i kept asking my mom why and the only reason (that i think is unreasonable) is that ps2( or any kind of video games console) damages the plasma screen. can you please give me a truthful answer but also ones that i can prove her wrong and play in the living room again!.. the plasma is HUGE!!!!! its SOOO AWSOME!!

Someone told me that cordless phones aren't good to talk on because people with scanners can hear your private conversations. Is this true? Are there any cordless phones that are safe? What about cell phones? Can a scanner hear you on your cell phone too?

I have a 1080P TV (Westinghouse), Sony Receiver (1080P), and a Sony upscaling DVD (1080P). I bought two cables to close the triangle (HDMI from the DVD to the Receiver, and another from the Receiver to the TV). I watched a movie perfectly on Sunday. Today I begin to watch another movie and I turn on the DVD and Receiver. To my surprise, I have to picture. I can hear through the surround sound just fine but no picture. I switched cables around, changed settings, and called Sony Tech. Nothing worked! Their response was that my cables are bad because I can use the regular cables and get picture. Now is this possible for HDMI cables (brand new) stop working. Honestly, two HDMI cables is a little over $100 bucks and they go bad after 1 week. Help!!!!

I currently have a DVD recorder and video combi which has the YPbPr, but no HDMI. we have just bought a HD TV with this on, but we cant find a replacement DVD/VCR combi with HDMI. will using a YPbPr cable make it more "HD" than scart.

I have a Sony DSC-V1 and all of a sudden all of the photo's I take have been coming out very grainy. It use to take nice sharp photo's. Anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? I've gone over my settings and everything is set the same way I had them set before but photo's are still coming out grainy.

I have a Sony KP-51WS500, manufactured in 2002, which has a DVI input. Will I be able to watch a high-definition signal from a Blu-ray or HD-DVD player? If so, would I see it in 720p or 1080p?

Also, if I go to digital cable, how could the tv accomodate both inputs - from the DVD player and the digital cable box - since there's only 1 digital input on the tv?
