On rebooting after installation, when that "Starting udev" comes the screen goes black and some large unmeaningful text comes. After sometime that text changes to some color and after sometime the system stops responding

I live on the West Coast and my computer's clock's internal clock keeps changing to non daylight savings time. It's driving me nuts. I know I only have 2-1/2 weeks to go until the clock will accept the new time, but I rely on my computer's clock.

I told the computer not to follow daylight savings.

I've changed the internal clock several times.

I think the time is changing each time I sign on to the internet...through Mozilla.

Any tips??

I have seen lots of pics on the web of an animated picture.....usually of a person and it is obviously a small clip (max 4 seconds) of video, but saved as a jpeg picture. anyone know how to do this?

When you get an email you can set a flag for follow up on it (Action>flag for follow up) where you can set the date and time when it is due by.... what is supposed to happen is that an alert or reminder pops up when it is due ....but they aren't popping up.

Does anyone know if there is a setting? Or how to fix?

i have a video that i want to put in windows movie maker but the type of the file is real player and windows movie maker doesn't except that type of file so i need to find a converter for the file to change it to a windows media file .

I ran a registry fix program that returned many registry errors. Being a poor man, I am wondering if it is possible to use regedit to manualy repair entries like the following without having to come out of pocket for the full version of the software( wich will make the repairs along with identify the errors.) Can anyone instruct me on how to use regedit to remove an entry like this?

I installed outlook 2003 on windows xp which to start with froze my computer. It is a bit better since I did detect and repair however it is still very slow especially when it is downloading mail.
Any suggestions?
I have tried cc cleaner, defraging the drive, spyware removal and virus scan
