I have itunes installed on my computer and music downloaded on playlists. My problem is that when I click on the icon on the desktop nothing happens it does not open.

I am going to assume that you are not on a mac. Well there's the 1st problem, the second is that you might have to un-install the program and start from scratch, and make sure you have a version compatible w/ your Operating System, check to see if you have downloaded the rite one, and if the software needs to be updated I suggest that you do that as well...Also make sure that you have installed it properly, if you are missing some elements then the software will not work, if you can do a custom install you might be better off, or your pc might have a glitch in accepting mac software, I dunno, I tried to give you several options to try, hope one of them work for you! I know with my itunes there is about a 20 t0 30 second delay before it loads. You may need to download the newer version if you don't already have it.

did you try rebooting your computer. i do that and sometimes it works afterward. or you might have to reload the itunes again.
