I have a dell xps 400 running on windows xp. I started having problems where programs would shut themselves down or portions of my programs wouldn't run. Then it started telling me I didn't have enough virtual memory.

I checked the virtual memory. It was set on system managed size, but would never allocate itself more than the 1553 mb that were recommended. I changed it to custom size, with a minimum of 2500 mb and a maximum of 3500 mb.

This works great and fixed all my problems, only now when I reboot my computer it changes itself back to system managed size with 1553 mb. Anyone know how to fix this???

anyone know how i can copy a dvd to my computers hard drive in a way that will let me watch it without any problems or interruptions? i have been tryin to copy a movie but when i play it back on VLC media player it just keeps jumping a lot and is unwatchable. The reason i want to do this is because i borrowed the dvd and i need to give it back. Would it be a problem relating to the fact that it is an original dvd and therefore protected against copying? I dont intend to copy the movie for distribution purposes.I only want to store it so that i can watch it whenever i want.If its not possible then i will prob jus buy it or download it,but i want to find out if it can be done the other way first. Your help is appreciated :-)

Hi i am 14 years old and my computer is running a bit slow i have had it more than half a year know and i think it finaly needs to be re-installed.

I have instructions that say Windows XP Clean Installation (Formmating and Re-installing XP Using Just the Windows XP CD).

Well its five easy steps and my uncle emailed it to me but one problem is what is the Windows XP CD-ROM?

I have found two discs Microsoft Works 8.5, Driver Recovery CD.

Not sure on which one is the one that i need to use, the instructions say to turn on computer with the Windows Xp CD-ROM in drive and there should be a message in bottom of the screen about booting from CD you will need to click any key and the computer should start to boot the CD and you will get a message saying "Welcome to Setup" screen.

Please help me people.

I have started up a few different games and they all say more or less the same. Nod3Ddevice problem. Or 0x00010ded. I've tried to find this error on the net, but got lost of course... Does anyone know what I should do to fix this?
Sometimes it just says: jungleheart.exe has a mistake in it and needs to be closed... sorry and all that..... Now jungleheart is just one of the games I tried to open. None of them will. I have done all the maintainance I could think of. windows care personal and professional... al the other programs I have... nothing helps so far... Please, if anyone knows what to try, please tell me.
