Help, trouble after installing Fedora Core 6?

On rebooting after installation, when that "Starting udev" comes the screen goes black and some large unmeaningful text comes. After sometime that text changes to some color and after sometime the system stops responding

i dont know more specific about he problem. My h/w config is P4 2.4G, Intel 845, 512MB

Can you be more specific about the error? are yougetting dump errors? what is the hardware config?

how much swap memory did you use? make sure the swap is at least twice the ram - use 1000mb for a 512 mb ram
what all directories did you use? (/, /usr, /root etc)
