How much work are you willing to do to accomplish this?
You will need:
Voice recognition software
Voice output software
and some kind of artificial intelligence program to give you the responses you are looking for.
The first 2 are easy and readily available.
The AI program is a different story. Research artificial intelligence and you might find that someone has written such a thing.
Getting all three components to work together might be a bit of a challenge as well.

Frosted Flakes, and Froot Loops had something like that in their cereal boxes a few years ago. There was Tony The Tiger, and Toucan Sam. The would wait for you to talk to them and follow along while the commands did what you asked of them. It came on a CD and installed on your computer. Good luck finding one though. Even better luck getting it to work. I've always used Windows XP Pro, and MS Office XP Pro, and I has speech recognition software I also have text to speech with translation to several languages (link below). Maybe you should just get these and pretend to have a buddy. I think you should get IE Spell too. Your spelling is like mine was before I got it. Install it and when you post, just highlight your text and hit the icon on your browser and it will offer suggestions. It will even learn new words.

If you have Vista, voice recognition software is included. However if you have something different than there might be third party sites offering this.

theres none that i know of but go to www.download.com and search it theres bonzi buddy but its spyware so im not going to recommend it unless you want to get infected then its up to you but you dont speak to him he just speaks to you and stuff

hi windows vista has voice recognition so if you tell it "my computer" it will open my computer so thats all i can help u with sry
