i have run the windows vista upgrade advisor and it says that my computer can upgrade to the home basic version, so if it not free where is the best place to buy it, thanks

I am trying to get a list of all the recently used documents list found in Windows profiles (c:\documents and settings\%username%\My Recent Documents). I need a list to help with transfering files from our company to another company the aquired part of our business. It would be very helpful if I could export that list or copy it in some way in to a spreadsheet to give us a better idea of what the users are accessing the most.

I placed several .exe files into quarantine when I scanned them for viruses. When I restarted my computer, it eventually gets to windows, however all I can see is my background picture and an error message that says: msgsrv32 not responding. Then I have to X out. leaving my screen to show only the background picture and nothing else. When I press CTRL Alt DEL it is completely blank. Please help!!!

I have this archive in MsWord that has equations made in equation editor. I place this archive in pagemaker 6.5 and everything looks fine, until I export to pdf. In the pdf file there is just 1 equation that is completely invisible, and it is inline with text. I have tried to copy-paste it, re-doing it, modify it, move it to other place, re-place it and nothing seems to help. When exporting from MsWord to pdf all the equations are seen, but when exporting from PageMaker this equation seems to be invisible.

What is happening? What should I do?

ive put all the necessary files in, and i can get the program running, but when i select a choice in the games list that shows up, nothing happens. its like they are broken links or something. any ideas?

DO NOT TELL ME TO GET WINDOWS XP! i have windows me on a 2nd hand computer, i don't have ANY disks for it. i accidently erased the system.ini file and now i cannot get to windows.
it tells me it can't find system.ini, boot with emergency boot disk and type SCANREG /RESTORE.
a friend lent me the disk, i put it in and then it says
starting windows me boot...
type the name of the command interpreter(e.g. C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM)

i tried to type the scanreg thing and it says the same thing.
i need someone to talk me through it, keeping in mind i only have access to the internet through my in laws comp. and only have access to that like once a week. i just want the comp. to run, so i can access internet. if u can't help please don't answer, i can't afford to upgrade or buy anything so i need to fix this, thanks in advance.

After I get into the screen where it syncs my nano, two boxes show up on my taskbar TV SHOWS and TUNES. After they appear, the screen freezes and in task manager it shows TV SHOWS and TUNES as "Not Responding".
