I am trying to work my dad company computer from home?

I work for my dad but, he lives an hour away, he has a company files on his computer that I would like to access from my home computer. How to I do this?

One solution is a program call pcAnywhere

Most online software vendors sell it for a LOT less than the list price at the Symantec web site above.
