You cannot do a restore for that long ago, the computer only keeps the recovery point for a few weeks. But if your computer came with the original software disks or your hard drive is partitioned and you have an option of booting up to that (you will see this when you boot up & it usally is the F10 button) there you will see an option do do a full restore, this will formant your hard drive and put every thing back to factury defalt, but all your data (any thing you put on your computer after you got it) will be lost, but you can copy this stuff on a cd or dvd (if you have a CD or DVD burner) or you can buy an external hard drive/ you can copy all the stuff you need like picks and word files ect..

The easiest way is to simply insert your SYSTEM RECOVERY DISK that came with your computer. If you're unable to locate it, then reboot, hit the F12 key when the system starts (or whatever command it tells you) and follow the instructions from there that will allow you to boot from your CD drive (usually the D Drive).

Hope this helps.
