when we make excel sheet database we give some exiry dates in one column for some fields so when the expiry date comes, there should be a automatic alert message. So please let me know how to define this.

what will I lose ,if anything, after installing mozilla firefox since it doesn't use activex? Will it be a seamless transition or will I have problems viewing stuff? I know virtually nothing on this so no detail is too small.

In the circled area, i can input my password and username.


But, under firefox~

here, the same in the circled area. Supposed it is for inputing password and username. However it is blank. I am so sad about this, it is my school's intranet, and i cannot use firefox for it.

I have a document in Mircosoft Word. I want the page numbers on the document EXCEPT the last three pages. I've tried and tried to remove the page numbers from just the last three pages but it seems to be all or nothing. I know I can turn the first page number off but I only need the last three. Please Help!

Basically, this morning, I turned my PC on, and it came out of hibernation and was working perfectly. I checked an email - but while I was working, the front fan started buzzing. I hit it several times, and in my frustration "Kicked" it. The PC then restarted.

Now, every time I load windows, it has 'Windows XP' boot screen, then it restarts the PC.

I have tried to revert to last working settings, but nothing else so far. I am not worried about documents, as I have a second hard disk with all that on it.

Any suggestions? I really want to avoid formatting and reinstalling Windows. I am going to try safe mode once I am able to access the PC again.

Past few days my automatic updates have been coming up on my taskbar as my computer starts up and with no progress being made.

Basically everytime my computer starts up the auto update loads (even when im offline) but its always stuck on 0%, and it just slows down my computers startup.
Ive set auto updates to notify me instead of automaticaly updating but the updates still load on startup.

What is the problem here?

I'm trying to find a program that will allow me to experiment with my photos by changing backgrounds, cropping images, adding text,etc.. I don't know much about doing this so please keep simplicity of use in mind when making a recommendation.
