I have a document in Mircosoft Word. I want the page numbers on the document EXCEPT the last three pages. I've tried and tried to remove the page numbers from just the last three pages but it seems to be all or nothing. I know I can turn the first page number off but I only need the last three. Please Help!

Place your cursor after the last word on the last page you want numbered and from the Insert menu choose - Break.

Under 'Section break types' choose - Continuous.

With your cursor at the start of the first page you don't want numbered, View the Header and Footer.

On the Header and Footer Toolbar turn off the button option 'Same as Previous'

Now delete the page number and close the Header and Footer, the page numbers will have gone from the following pages.

Howdy! if you have your word document open, select VIEW from the top menu bar. In the drop down selection, choose HEADER AND FOOTER. When you do this, you should notice a new set of options (buttons) open up somewhere below the menu bar. If you don't notice it at first, repeat the Header and Footer selection until you see the new buttons appear. The first button in the list, going from left to right, should say Insert Autotext.

Go to the page of your document that will be the first page without a number. Now, click in the box on that page that contains the page numbers, then highlight the.

Back up at that same tool bar, look for the one that looks like an open book, its call Page Setup, and click it. A Page Setup window will open. In the Margins tab, close to the bottom, you will see a drop down window. Select the option "This Point Forward". Do this for each tab (there are three tabs). then close the Page Setup window by clicking OK.

Go back to that page where the numbers will no longer be needed. Highlight the number of that page and hi the Delete key. If the number is still there, rehighlight and hit Delete again and that number and all the following numbers should be gone.

NOTE:
If that page number dissappears, but continue on the next page, just click in the box with the page umber in it and, back to the tool bar, select the "Link to Previous" button.

Good Luck!
