The best player for anykind of stuff I've seen is the VLC Media Player it can play any file of any format. It is really good as it can also repair the videos if they have any problem in between.

VLC Media player is free just google it ,mine's great I haven't had any problems with it I don't know how many regions it plays but it plays region 2 and region 1 it plays dvd-RW and other formats it even plays something you've recorded in VR Mode with no problem at all,and it saves you from having to change the region of your windows media player..I recently bought The Great Gatsby dvd it was only available on region I and it wouldn't play on my DVD player so I played it on VLC it worked perfectly.

VLC media player is amazing for playing copied disks as it plays all formats. However it will not play any region. For that you need:

Any Dvd decoder supplied by Slysoft productions, and this will allow you to play any region dvd on most media player centers. It too can be downloaded. The links can be found below.
