I have windows XP and you have to start the computer and at one point you just press the F10 button and then follow the directions. You should check your manual, and it may be that easy. I am telling you this just to save you some time because I had called customer service and between being placed on hold and trying to figure out what this guy was saying with his Indian accent....I spent hours on there all to learn that I just had to push one button and follow the computer's instructions. Good luck.

I have windows xp also. All you need to do is go to Start and click on computers. At the side there should be something that said retore. Simply click that and a window pops up and you select how far back you want to retore it. Hope this helps.

So long as you have the Install CDs, you can run an install in repair mode, and this will save past good settings and fix any damage
