If I ssh to linux and want to be doing three different things in tandem - is it possible to create three virtual sessions within the one ssh session? Of course I realize I could open up three ssh sessions. But sometimes I could see it would be more handy to say start a script and then use some key combo to jump to another session where I'm in another directory where I could do something else. How do you create the extra sessions and jump between the sessions - if that's possible at all?? Thanks.

I bought some DVDs from america and live in the eu (pal). i know they work on my pc but i want to watch them on my tv with a dvd player. Is there a program that can copz a disc zet change the region to what i want??
I know i can get cheap region free plazers but i dont want that.

I recently asked a question about poor print quality and was advised to make my documents 300 dpi... so now I have a new problem.

When I make them 300 dpi the files become too large to email. I save them as a jpeg and then try to email... but it wont let me. How can I have good print quality and have the file small enough to email?

(I have photoshop 6.0)

I know that you can create layouts online.

But what software programs are there that can create layouts for Myspace, Xanga etc?

And what computer programs are good for picture editing or creating icons?

Photoshop? Paint shop?

I have a friend who asked me several months back if I could set up her daughters computer to record what she was doing online. I installed a key logger and that was that, or so I thought. Without getting into to much detail, he daughter was looking at things that she shouldn't have been, so her mom took away her computer privledges. She want's to give her computer back now, but doesn't trust her with it and wants me to install a program so that she can monitor her daughters activities without her knowing. I.E. screen shots, Webcam, etc. etc. and want's the ability to shut the computer down remotely if necessary. I explained to her that sub7 would do all of the above, but she doesn't want me to install a trojan. I explained that the server could be password protected, but she still doesn't want sub7 (I guess because of the bad publicity it got. Does anyone know of a program that will allow remote access to screen shots, webcam, keys pressed etc. etc. without being a "virus"

hi, i have a server, port and password. Is there some software that I can use so all i have to do is type the server address and port and password and play my videos, then the software streams it to that server???

just like nulsofts soutcast but instead of audio i want to stream audio and video for free. can anyone help??

Adobe Reader 7 AND 8 do not let me copy and paste Cyrillic (no embedded fonts from scanned text). Is there software or other way to have this text copy correctly into a cyrillic format (for instance Word or just a machine translation tool)?

I am D.J., and I have alot of cd's. The trouble is they can't stand up to the wear and tear they suffer in the DJ booth. They are always getting scratched up, and then I might as well throw them away, because the last thing anyone wants to hear while dancing in the club is a cd skip skip skipping!! I want to make copies of my originals so I don't have to keep buying new ones, but the way i've been doing it is soooo time consuming.....there has to be another way!! Right now I am just copying them into my windows media player and then burning them onto cd. I would like to find something that will do this more quickly, and without saving the original on my hard drive. Someone recommended a program called clone cd, so I downloaded the trial version, but so far it seems to be taking about as long as windows (30-45mins.) Is this the norm? I know I may seem impatient, but as I said before, I have alot of cd's to backup, and at this rate they will all be outdated before I have them done!!

ok i have been having this problem all day i have tried to fix myself but nothing comes right please help out.
my computer restarts every 3 minutes by itself
it is not overheating my temp is 49 degrees and my video card is running fine.
i didnt download anything recently or install anything

Excuse me but i have tried that but not work this is what it said when i checked off the "Place volume icon in the taskbar"

It said: ERROR: "Windows cannot display the volume on the taskbar because the Volume Control Program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove Programes in Control Pannel"

I have gone to the Add/Remove program but i did not kno what to type in.
