i love limewire....its the best filesharing program ive used. but im only in it for the mp3s...so i couldnt tell u anything about using it for other types of files. someone told me that they were crackin down on ppl who use p2p software...but im not sure if i believe him.
i got mine off cnet.com
just go to the download section
u can search limewire and get it from there or compare it to other p2p programs.... cnet rates it and also has user ratings. i love it! good luck in ur decision. while i dont kno much about the technical aspects...its very user-friendly and seems to be used by a lot of ppl....so theres plenty of stuff at ur fingers!!!

Yeah that's really nice but it has a bug.
if a program become fullscreen, the limewire will shut down.
Ares Galaxy doesn't ave that problem and also supports torrents.
download it from http://aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net

Lime Wire is a great program for file sharing, if your not satisfied with it try using Windows Live Mail. I use both of these programs and they work great.

It used to be. I haven't used it in a couple of years, but I really liked it. I moved into the sticks and all I have now is dial-up, so it is not worth the 14 hours to download a song. Give it a try.

Filesharing and stable is like water and dry - they do no longer circulate mutually. in case you acquire from strangers (that's what Limewire, torrents and all different filesharing classes do) you acquire viruses. it is no longer a remember of if, it extremely is an argument whilst.

IF all u want is to transfer files between your friends try ONSHARE, very cool and free. if you want to search for movies, music etc i just log on to torrent sites and i use opera. it has an inhouse torrent downloader. some say it aint a real torrent programe but it has workd fine for me w/o any prob. sure beats having to take up more HD space installing a dedicated torrent software.
