I recently asked a question about poor print quality and was advised to make my documents 300 dpi... so now I have a new problem.

When I make them 300 dpi the files become too large to email. I save them as a jpeg and then try to email... but it wont let me. How can I have good print quality and have the file small enough to email?

(I have photoshop 6.0)

300 dpi really is an ideal work resolution for prints. If you don't want to give up on the quality of your image there is a way to get around email accounts that have small file attachment limitations. I use free image hosting sites such as www.imagevenue.com. Upload the picture there, and it gives you a link to copy and paste into your email, forum, or blog. This will allow anyone receiving your email to click on the link to take them to your image and right-click and save it from there.

the higher the qualiy = more document weight.
for print you should use 300 dpi (points per inch resolution), what you can do is stay with 300 dpi, and try to email it any way, or just burn it on a cd, and deliver it.
good luck!

Sorry but the answer to your question is you can't, smaller sizes= less quality. You best bet is to try and find a happy medium like 200 or 150dpi (less quality but smaller size).

Try zipping it. It will reduce the size somewhat but I'm not sure how much. It's worth a try!
