Software - March 2007

I run a Compac i dont know what version or year or what ever the term is. My computer has to go threw system recovery or system restore im not shure which one it is. well any ways i have to run the system restore but i have i tunes on it with songs i bought. will sending it threw SR get rid of my itunes the songs i bought and make my ipod homeless?
(make it so that my ipod is no longer registered to my computer.) If yes is there any way around getting ri of the itunes stuff?

I uninstalled norton not to long ago then I had to do a system restore. Now Norton shows up in the add/unistall list but when I try to unistall again it says the specific modual could not be found. What can I do. Please help. Detailed info if you can. Thank you.

only message was machine had not shutdown properly, because of hardware/software problem, only thing I had installed the previose day was macromedia flash. finished up having to format and reload XP.any ideas what problem was, and did I need to format and reinstall xp. pressing normal start up, just kept returning to shutdown and restart, was going round in circles,could not start up in safe mode. I could not reach my desk top page, therefore there was nothing I could do, saw no alternative but to put my xp disc in, could not repair from disc, so went into a format

my pc is taking ages to start up, is very slow opening web pages and sometimes freezes for ages.....driving me mad!!!! i'm looking for a free programme which actually fixes all errrors as most only scan...find loads of errors....then tell you that the free evaluation will only fix 8 at the most then you have to purchase. I have a story on a floppy disk. It is about 100- 110 or more pages. I`ll insert the floppy, and it will make a noise for a long time, then it may load, but then I can`t read it or anything. It is from October of 05. I really would like to be able to load it.

I have been thinking about getting Linux and kicking Microsoft to the curb. What I am worried about is..... #1. Which version? I have used Microsoft since Win 3.1 so I would want something set up similar. (but without all of Microsofts B.S.).....#2 what about drivers? I have all the normal stuff, Ipod, printer, cameras, scanner...will all this stuff work with Linux??? any help would be appreciated.

My sim wants 10 children, I have gotten her pregnant 4 times but she only gives birth to one child at a time :(

When I'm in Word and type something like -- m (two dashes, then a space, then a letter, then a space) it changes the two dashes into one solid line. I am wondering if there's any other way to create that character. I prefer the way it looks in some of my documents that I write, and that's the only way I know to get a longer solid dash.
