I currently use nero 7 ultra to convert and write movies onto a dvd but ti's playing up lately. Can anyone suggest some software (preferably freeware) to replace nero?

I had the same problem with nero.

DVDFLICK is fool proof and excellent and FREE..... plus once I downloaded it nero on my pc started to run ok again.

Its very straight forward and will encode and burn for you.

Good luck
