Adobe Reader 7 AND 8 do not let me copy and paste Cyrillic (no embedded fonts from scanned text). Is there software or other way to have this text copy correctly into a cyrillic format (for instance Word or just a machine translation tool)?

Unless you have the full versions of Adobe Acrobat, not just the free reader, you will not beable to copy and paste text from .pdf's.

pdf's are usually copy written look for the html
