Software - February 2007

Just recently, when I look for a file in windows explorer, the files are not arranged in alphabetical order, they are arranged randomly.

When I right click on the browse window and go to 'Arrange icons by name' they appear by name but when I close the window and reopen it, it arranges back to random.

How can I fix this? Thank you so much for your help!

I have a slide show in kiosk mode I show on a computer. I want to make it so people cannot exit out the presentation (by hitting esc) without first inputting a password. A key combination to end the presentation, rather than esc, would be good too. I am using PowerPoint 2003, though I can also use PowerPoint 2007 if it is only possible with that version. Thanks.

i checked that nsv stands for nullsoft streaming video, which means it is the developer of winamp itself. but heyy, even winamp cannot show me the video ;( only voice appeared. tried to use meida player classic on storm codec, the video appeared, but no sound. help me i dont know what else to do :(

I have a laptop, and two computers at home. Also, if one of my computer crashes, can I reinstall Microsoft Office 2007 on it again? Or does the CD keep track how many times I reinstall it? Thanks.

I recently purchased AutoCAD 2007 LT and have Auto CAD 2006 on my Windows XP laptop and i was wondering if anyone has put either (OR ANY) of the AutoCAD programs on their Windows Vista computer. If so which one (basic, Home Premium, or Business ultimate). Please let me know asap. Also, let me know if you had any problems and which one you would recomend puting on Vista.

I have Vista business, but the pcanywhere 12 is not compatible. Every other software I have used works on Vista except this. I heard there is a beta version pcanywhere that works with vista, where is it and how do I get it? Also, is there another way to get pcanywhere on my comp? Version 10 11.5 and 12 do not work, it is kinda frustrating.thanks for all who answers this, it is really appreciated.

First off, I have Adobe Reader 7.0.
My professor sent me a file that she wants filled out, but I can't figure out how to fill it out!! I've tried using the I shaped cursor-- select tool but its not working, its just selecting the 'whole' document. I've also tried to copy/paste to word but that isn't working either.

Can anyone tell me how to fill this out and save it to submit it to her?

i am using jetAudio to wacth videos becuse when i use whit old Divx 4:3 i can get rid of those black lines come from top & bottem ..(get rid of wid screen) but with new DivX i can't do that ..where can i find old DivX ...one before 6.5.DivX

Hi All!

I work at an office where Windows 2000 is installed on the computer I use. I can't find the Microsoft Office 2000 install disk, and Powerpoint is nowhere to be found on the hard drive of this computer. All of the other Microsoft programs are on here though: Word, Works, Excel and Publishing. I use Powerpoint on a daily basis for different things, and not having it on this computer is driving me nuts! Without the Microsoft Office 2000 install CD, is there any other way I can re-install Powerpoint to this system without having to pay any money? Thanks so much! :)

Ive been having trouble for a few weeks with my computer, no one has been able to help, not even the manufacturer of my computer, not Microsoft, no one. I finally got an error I was able to get a little information on, after having about 30 stop errors, which said device driver problem. I checked all my drivers, everythings working fine. But, I was having problems with my graphics card recently, I couldn't put my computer onto my tv, and now I just got an error directly related to my card, and I had shut it down. So, how do I delete my graphics card drivers, so I can reinstall them from my cd? When I redid windows, I used the drivers from the site, not the cd...so...how do I delete them?
