because when you burn them as .cdi or .wav your burner doesn't write the id1 or id2 tags the way it's displayed in mp3 format.

It may only be burning just the tracks and not saving the tag information. (I had this happen before.) You would need to burn it as an MP3 or use Data CD option. (That's how I got around it.)

In your burning software there probably is an option to allow text. Nero has a little box that you check under where you give the CD its name.
