Hi All!

I work at an office where Windows 2000 is installed on the computer I use. I can't find the Microsoft Office 2000 install disk, and Powerpoint is nowhere to be found on the hard drive of this computer. All of the other Microsoft programs are on here though: Word, Works, Excel and Publishing. I use Powerpoint on a daily basis for different things, and not having it on this computer is driving me nuts! Without the Microsoft Office 2000 install CD, is there any other way I can re-install Powerpoint to this system without having to pay any money? Thanks so much! :)

you might try calling microsoft if you have paid for it already. the key for it should be the same for the other software that was install from the disk. i would say, download and install it then call them up. it is about a 98% chace they'll give you the code to register it. i have done this before when my XP PRO sp1 on my dell was black list last year. they gave me a new key code for it.

Hi

Well you can try this , IF the office was install COMPLETE on the hd then , try this , go to control panel and select add/remove software , look for the microsoft office and select either unistall or add , cant remember wish , this will take you to a screen that says , if you want to ADD MORE or REMOVE then select add , now like i said IF the office was complete then it will look INSIDE the installation folder and will add you powerpoint. Now , the other way around is either downloading it from MICROSOFT directly or you can use limewire and just download the powerpoint software ALONE. Please let me know how it go , cause i have ALL the office software i can send you a copy if you want

Unfortunately, no. The install package is quite large for PowerPoint, and anything downloaded off the internet would not be legal. You really need the CD.

Although it's a little bit on the "questionable" side, you might try to find someone who has the CD, use it to install PowerPoint, then give the CD back.

If Office 2000 was installed on the machine, Powerpoint has to be there. Right click on start, search, power point. Or, click start, all programs and look for it.

If Microsoft does not help you, install OpenOffice instead. It's a free and powerful office suite that is compatible with MS and other office suites.
