i need to restore my system back to september and i want to back up some of my word files and pictures to a disk first so i put all the ones i want to save into the same folder so now how do i a) put my files on a disk then b) do a system restore

every time i click on a song to download i always get this message"LimeWire is unable to find a license for this file. Download anyway?"
i never downloaded anything from there b/c i wanted to make sure.
does anyone else use Lime Wire ?

I want to know from where I can download the driver for PCI Soft V92 Modem..... I actually got a CD called "Bitware For Windows" along with my computer when I bought it, and on the CD it's written that it's contents are a Modem Driver, but I'm not sure whether it's for the PCI SoftV92 Modem or not... currently I'm using an external ADSL router modem for my broadband connection, and although I never use the PCI Modem, I wouldn't like to mess anything up after I format my system..

Just wondering how I can get those icons to show up the same way as if you were to switch to the classic start menu because in the regular start menu they don't show, but when you switch classic they appear. I know I can make shortcuts, that's not what I want to do. I want the icons to show up in the regular start menu setting....

i'm in the middle of dowloading some songs on lime wire... they are "queued" but have not started downloading... if i exit out of limewire window (exit- not minimize), will it continue to dowlnoad the songs, or will i lose them?

I have a Windows XP, and am trying to get iTunes. I have downloaded it several times and I keep getting error messages. I borrowed the CD from my friend with an iPod, and it still won't work. I used to have it but my computer crashed and it works now, but iTunes doesn't.

I am using Nero 6 and everytime I try to burn a DVD with Nero and everytime, it tells me that advcntr2.dll cannot be found on my computer (I have it - I downloaded it) and then Nero shuts down completely.

Has anyone experienced this problem and how can I fix it?

I've been working on it for 1 week.

When i download music from limewire where the files go? i mean i download music from limewire but when i was trying to find it in my documents it wasn't in there, i check my computer, my music, my share files but it still is not on there, does any one know where the files go after you download music from limewire??

I am using IE7 and Its on vista.

I have adobe flash installed but every time I try to watch youtube it says I need it. Is there any place I can go to enable it. In the menu it says it is on.

On mozilla (that I hate) It works fine. Please help

I got a DVD-RW and I was trying to burn a show I downloaded so that I can watch it from my DVD player instead of from my monitor. I was using the full version of Nero but for some reason - I guess my setting's messed up or something - it would burn the show, I can watch it from my computer but it won't even play on my DVD player. Anyone familiar with Nero Burning? What do I need to do so that it'll play on my DVD player?

My husband is partially deaf and needs different glasses for reading and watching movies. Is there any software accessory I can run which will allow me to turn up the speech volume but turn down the incidental music and background noise when we watch films late at night as even if we turn it up loud the background noise interferes and he still can't make it out.
It's really annoying.

I have done this twice on two different dell computers. They origionally had windows xp home as the OS. When I re-partitioned, formated, and then reinstalled a copy of windows xp professional onto it, everything worked perfect.......except, when I turn on the computer, I come to a black screen where I have to choose if I want to run windows xp professional or windows xp home. Now, the home edition is gone. Did dell somehow work the os edition into the bios? Where else would that be hidden on the computer? This happened to 2 seperate dell computers. I would like to remove this so that when I start the computers, it automatically loads windows xp pro. Please input!! Thanks!

It is showing in the monitor as page 1 of 3 but in the print out it shows page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2 and page 3 of 3. What setup I have to change?

I have purchased a new Nokia cell which uses a mini SD card.Media Player 10 is my default player, and I am trying to save songs onto the card; however, I have only been able to save songs in the wav format and my phone won't recognize that format. I need to know what I can do to get Media Player to switch to download in mp3 format.

I've set regional settings to Australia and cell formats to dd-mm-yyyy, but still my typing is recognised in the American order and 3/1 (3rd Jan) becomes 1/3 in display. I can't 'cheat' and type backwards because I want to calculate between dates, and display then in the Australian date format. How can I get my dates to type AND display in Australian order?

I just asked that question about the laptop password thing. Well I figured it out with system safe mode, and when I created a new account. It well, looks like 98. It says XP when you run it, but when you go change the settings, it says nothing but the 98. No XP.
Can someone help me solve this?
