OK ok, let me explain better. I cant erase files or reburn them! Does that sound better? How do I fix this? I want to erase and reburn files on a cd.

First of all you will need to get some CDRW media which stands for CD re-writeable. If you only have CDR (Recordable only), you will only be able to burn once.

After you have CDRW media and a burner that can support that (most do), you need to select the option on your burning software that keeps the CD open. Look for a multi-session option or something like that. This option might be worded slightly different depending on which software you are using to burn and you should consult the help file or readme for further information.

when you burn files into a CD they will always burn as read-only, you gotta change their attributes when you copy them into a writable device like a flash card or a hard disk

That's default, you can't change them, why would you... If you are wanting to erase the CD, then get CDRW, that are read and write, the cd should be read only, you are only using it for storage...

once files u write to cd, it becomes write only files, since u cant change changes to CD

if u have to change then u need to copy to hard drieve and u can change and save it ...and u can re-burn to re-writable or writable cd

if still u cant able to save ...rht click file and make sure uncheck the button read only...
it works

They'll always be read only.
Think about it, you can't change them once they are burned to the disk, so why wouldn't they be read only?
