iTunes Problem?

I have a Windows XP, and am trying to get iTunes. I have downloaded it several times and I keep getting error messages. I borrowed the CD from my friend with an iPod, and it still won't work. I used to have it but my computer crashed and it works now, but iTunes doesn't.

iTunes is a free download from Apple.com, you don't need a CD.

Download the correct version for XP and you should be good. Uninstall the old version first if it shows up in Add/Remove Programs (Control Panel).
