lol half the world uses limewire or something simmilar. the software itself is legit, downloading copyrighted songs is where it gets tricky. as far as safe, as long as you dont download 1,000's of songs all the time your usually ok. the message is just kinda like a warning and that its not verified

unlawful = specific secure = relies upon in case you're downloading songs which you dont very own in CD format then; specific you're committing copyright infringement. the RIAA (recording marketplace assiciation of usa) has sued approximately 20,000 people so a techniques for downloading unlawful song. these days they have been offering settlements of 3k funds to consumers that have been caught. it may appear as if an excellent sort of money yet its lots greater valuable than the 200k they sue you for. final month there became right into a rulling that the approach they use for buying your ip handle out of your ISP is unconstitutional so no person is familiar with whats going to take place now. besides, 20000 people isn't that lots whilst in comparison with the thousands and thousands downloading in many circumstances happening. the possibilities of you getting caught are small. yet specific that's against the regulation. Is it secure? no no longer likely in case you would be utilising limewire you greater valuable be arranged to capture a foul virus so confirm you back up you stuff.

No it isn't illegal just like what other says the way how you will use the file depends if it is legal or not. Yes it is safe to download there but I don't recommend you to download softwares there because it contains viruses. I use limewire's audio search only. I download the songs and listen to it. If I like the song I'll buy the album of the artist. I buy their music because without them there'll be no music.

It depends on what you are downloading, any music you can buy on CD is illegal to download on Limewire. You are likely to get sued by the RIAA. Use iTunes or Napster instead. Paying 99 cents per song is a lot cheaper than settling a lawsuit.

Ive used LW for about 2years now and have never had any issue with it. If your not using the LW pro, spend the extra money for the upgrade, you'll most likely not get that message and also get faster DL times and a lot more results on your searches

I've used it for 3 years. The mp3 downloads are safe for the most part. Programs, games, etc... contain alot of viruses.

Get Peer Guardian and run it while you're using limewire (or any other software to illegally download copyrighted material), and you shouldn't have any problems. It scrambles your IP up constantly so you can't possibly be traced.
