I need an expert's advice. Is it recommended to run Disk Defragmenter on a NTFS system? Also, my computer is running slower and slower and slower, is there any way to improve system performance? Thanks!

Because if i will install Windows Internet Explorer 7 of Windows Media Player 11 it needs to validate or to download Genuine Advantage Kit, but it cost $149,i can't produce that money, its so expensive. Could you help me how to download it for free?

i have a dell dimension e510 with 1gb of ram and a 240 gb hard drive. i no that there have been problems installing windows vista, and i want to no if i will experience these problems. also, i currently use windowsn xp media center edition, and plan on buying vista home basic or vista home premium. thanx a lot

Well...i wiped my computer due to this problem, reinstalled windows yet when i turn the computer on the windows xp screen appears and the blue bar loads across the screen as it should but it is a poor color sometimes it flashes blue or red then freezes and boot up does not get further than that.
I have tried to run in safe mode does not work,,please help as this is the only probelm i have had on my pc, (altho it is a majour problem) but if i can find out the issue it will help...

i recently updated windows on my computer. i have windows 7 now.ever since i updated it it has not been the same.when i try to close out a window (if i have multiple windows) it freezes and says "windows internet explorer has encountered a problem and must shut down".i've tried to uninstall the update, but it wont. somebody please make it stop.it's a real pain.
