I did about 12 scans in a row to try to remove everything but I can't get MRU list and Alexa off my computer. Any sugestions?

it scans to a certain point but won't let me delete everything because it says some stuff is still in use. It tells me to restart and it should work. this didn't work. I've tried it like 10 times. I don't know what is in use. Please help!

i need to creat a catchy newsletter name for the new IT newsletter that will cover a variety of topics, hints and tricks from a wide range of applications like Windows, Microsoft Outlook, and other internal programs used withing the co. i am looking for a name that will sound exciting and intriguing, fits the content of newsletter and makes a positive connection with the targeted audience which is our users. The reason why i dont name it just plain"Newsletter" is because we already have a newsletter but it focuses on diff aspects of the company. the newsletter i have to name will only focus on IT. Does anybody have any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

How do I eradicate all traces of Norton Internet Security and Anti Virus from my PC including registry entries, hidden files and the like. In the past I've come to really dislike Symantec products, they seem to take over your computer and apparently impossible to remove all traces of even using the uninstall application. Now I just bought a new laptop and I'm horrified to discover it has a load of Norton stuff pre-installed. Grrr! How do I get rid of it before I install my preferred security software?

I keep getting the following message when i try and play some of my DVDs (all bought - not copies) -

Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occurred with digital copyright protection.

- i also get a similar message in Nero Showtime and RealPlayer. I've installed a DVD decoder pack which hasnt made any difference!!

Slightly confused here. Any ideas?? :)

I have a blank document created with MSWord, the whole document is in 12pt Times new roman. The problem is that I have to paste in information from another program, but when I paste it in, it is a different size and style.

I know I can go to Edit>Paste Special and select unformatted text, but I was hoping I could somehow lock the font settings so that anything that gets pasted in gets changed to match the rest of the document

When i open the removable disk from 'my computer' a small application appears in the folder. its icon is of a normal folder and its properties defines it as an application with exe type... if i double click it, it opens my documents in a new window.... WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?

My professor says that he prefers if we make each point disappear after we talk about it, so that the class can focus on the exact point we are covering at that time. There is no extra credit or points for having it done, its just something he would like to see. Does anyone know how to do this? If this is not absolutely clear, I can provide more info...I really need HELP!

I'm trying to upgrade to OSX 10.4 from 10.3.8. I pop the disc in, double click on the install icon, click on the Restart button then when it restarts it doesn't boot from the CD, (even if I hold down C or even if I choose the CD in the Startup Preferences) and it comes up with a question mark before defaulting to its old boot. My DVD drive is a bit of an old DVD-ROM but I'm sure it can't be that.
The disc itself is a genuine DVD Install Disk that reads absolutely fine otherwise.

hi All

Just bought myself an ipod but now need to update my windows version on my pc from ME to 2000 or XP. As my pc is oldish would i be right in thinking its probably a better idead to get 2000 and put that on rather than the memory hungry XP?
