I opened up a Microsoft Word from my well working computer, however this thing popped out stating they needed my name, initials, organization, which i can do all, but product key? is that something i can type randomly or is it an avication code or something??? what is the DUMB product key!?!?!?

I am working on a lengthy project that has several excell spreadsheets as examples. How can I put them into a page of my word document. They don't have to do any fuctions, just examples.

I'm running Windows XP Media Center with all the service packs. I had loaded the K-Lite Codec pack a few months ago and everything was working fine. One of my wonderful children (grrr) was playing around and now I'm finding that many of the videos won't play within Media Center. They'll if run directly from Media Player, but not within Media Center.

It only seems to be AVI files that don't play. And furthermore, they seem to be XVid encoded files. I have downloaded and reinstalled the XVid codec, but this hasn't helped.

Why would they play well in Media Player (and media player classic), but not in Media Center itself? I'm thinking that somehow, Media Center needs to be made aware of which codec to use for XVid encoded AVI files, but I don't know how to do it.

I have already scanned the PC several times with Norton Internet Security 2007 and Spysweeper and it comes up clear on both.
Where my computer used to boot from window start up in about a minute it now takes close to 5 minutes and I also sometimes get completely "Frozen" for 30 seconds a time while using the PC.
The PC will also not install Internet Explorer 7 no matter how many times I try.
I use my PC for work and really don't want to have to reset it back to factory or reinstall windows.
I really want some easy way of finding out what is causing this and solving it.

I made a spreadsheet on Microsoft Excel I have the names in column A, addresses in column D, the cities in column E, and the zip codes in column F. My boss now wants me to send mailers to this whole huge list. I need step by step instructions on how I can transfer this to mailing labels then print it out. Can somebody PLEASE help! Is it even possible to do?

when i have windows xp i would use limewire to get some songs.

i now have a mac. anyways, what is great for getting music, even movies i guess since limewire can do that too.

to me limewire is okay but not great. not all the songs are there at times. downloads, enough said.

what about bearshare? or bit torrents?

how do those even work? which is best to prevent viruses?

I'm still having trouble putting up a desktop picture. This is what happens: When I right-click and go to properties, I can choose desktop but the browse button is not functional. The background chooses are all highlighted and I can't scroll up or down AT ALL. The only thing I can do is change the colors. Whenever I start up or shut down my computer, the last picture that I had up flashes for a minute.

Someone suggested something about a worning screen and that I should reactivate my desktop. But how do I do that? Where do I look?

What is the best special effects program for movies... me and my friends are making an end of year movie and putting it on youtube and airing it at our school.. and we need a program where we can layer pictures... do color wipes... seasonal wipes.. just have a vareity of special effects and editing tools... we are making the movie with real ppl... please state the approx. price so we can know how much we need and if it's actually worth it.. also include things that you have used it with in your answer please! ^_^ thank you!

Hi I am trying to edit the image size of a photo to see more detail, but when I zoom in the pixels become really blocky... is there any way to change the resolution of a photo? Without losing sharpness - I dont know what resolution the photo was originally taken in but its something I lifted off the net.
