Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 is the best program to make high-end videos, is the one used by the movies, use that and Adobe After Effects 7.0 and you could make anything...

The cost is high... for both programs... but I bet you could look in EBay to see if someone is selling them or download a trial and use it for 30 days....

Low-Cost Alternative:

Blender; $0 or $10/month

Ask yourself: Is Blender good enough?

Blender has a complete VFX pipeline in one single software package.

In Blender you get tools similar to Maya (animation), 3ds Max (modifiers), ZBrush (sculpting), FumeFX (fire and smoke), RealFlow (fluids), RayFire (destruction), Mocha (planar tracking), Boujou (matchmoving), Arnold (rendering), After Effects (motion graphics), and Nuke (compositing).

All of these tools are far from perfect, but they're getting better every day.

Blender is FREE with full functionality and you're allowed to use Blender in any production without having to pay for anything.

Only you know if Blender is good enough for your projects needs and requirements.

You could use Nero Vision, it is cheap enough and very easy to use. Or you can use windows movie maker that comes with xp if you do not wish to spend any money. Pinnacle studio would be more of professional editing software but cost around $50.
