i have a new xp reinstall disc never opened.but the sticker on the side of my computer is unreadable.ive tried a magnifying glass but still can't read it.what can i do?

Not sure what you are trying to tell us exactly.

However, if you want to know the Product Key code of your Windows XP go to the following web site and download and install their utility called the Advisor.

http://www.belarc.com

In the Software section of the report you will see Windows XP and to the right you will see the Product Key Code or your copy.

What sticker? The Key code?
I say if you really need to reinstall xp put the disk in. The reinstall will not work unless you have an existing copy of xp on your computer. It should do the rest for you. If it still needs a key code look on your cd package or in any documentation you may have. No luck? Call microsoft support and give them your computer's serial number (if the computer came installed with xp they should be able to validate that and give you a key code for the reinstall.
