I have a blank document created with MSWord, the whole document is in 12pt Times new roman. The problem is that I have to paste in information from another program, but when I paste it in, it is a different size and style.

I know I can go to Edit>Paste Special and select unformatted text, but I was hoping I could somehow lock the font settings so that anything that gets pasted in gets changed to match the rest of the document

Thanks

No, when you import, either by cut/paste or from Excel or something else, it comes in with the text it was created in. When you paste, while you still have the text highlighted, click on font, and select Times New Roman then the font size.

Or, you can let it go until you finish the document. Then go to the first letter of the first word, click on Edit, Select All, then when the whole document is highlighted, select your font and size. It will correct the whole document. That's what I do and it works fine.
