When I minimize active applications they are not displaying on my taskbar. It seems as though they are going behind or below the task bar but when I hide that taskbar, I still cannot find them. It's probably a single box that needs checked or unchecked but so far I haven't been able to find it. 10 points to the first person who helps me solve this. thanks

When i go to certain sites (like the microsoft website) it just shows a box with an X on some links. the page still loads,but some pictures and links show up as a box with a red X.
Internet explorer version:7.0.5730.11 (Version 7 NOT this is not the beta version)

one day when i booted my machine, some folders and files had turned into junk characters from their original name. i was not able to access to those folders or to the files. when i re-booted the machine, it automatically started to scan for errors. it converted all my files into .CHK files and dumped them in a directory. there were a lot of MP3s, MPEGs and some huge files, now i am not able to open any file even if i change the extension. i need help.

I had to do do a Product Recovery on my Toshiba laptop and some of the initial programs are missing. When I go to the set up icons for these items I am asked to insert the Tools and Utilities disk which I never recieved when i bought the machine. I tried Toshiba but did not have much luck. Their helpdesk seem to work on set questions and answeres sheets and if you ask a question beyond the norm you are pushed to the one side. I would be greatful for any help. Brian

I installed a program onto my laptop and when i opened it it said begining pyshical memory dump. I restarted and removed the program. It has been installed on 2 other computers and works fine with no problems at all. Do you think i should try reinstalling it or do you think it will damage the computer?? Please help coz i really want to have the program but dont want to mess up my laptop.

The laptop was originally preloaded with norton antivirus. It is now out of date and I use other software for such protection so Norton is redundant.
However, it constantly pops up with reminders.
I have tried deleting it but it won't let me
It doesn't appear in the Add/Remove programmes list
I have tried unticking the appropriate boxes in msconfig startup
Any ideas, it is beginning to drive me mad

I have a jpeg file I'd like to include as a graphic on my mailing labels. But Word only seems to want me to put text on a label, not a graphic. Anyone know how to get around this?
