If you do not have AOL IM, then someone can't use AOL IM to send you a message. If you do not have Yahoo Messenger, then someone can't use Yahoo Messenger to send you a message. If you do not have MSN Messenger, then someone can't use MSN Messenger to send you a message.
But if you have SpyWare, you can get popup ads that might look like an IM message. You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.
This double whammy will help keep you safe and running faster
