Any Windows operating system. Turn ON your computer, and power OFF your computer instead of shutting down. Repeat this atleast 5 times. If it didn't work, repeat.

Do a system restore or reconfiguration of your hard drive. If you have XP you should be able to go to start... programs... accessories... system tools and then system restore.

Make sure you save everything you want or need before you do this. This will bring your system to the exact way that it was when you bought it.
