Is there any software that can encrypt large (1GB and above) files and folders (password protect) in no time at all?
Cause WinZip and WinRar is taking a lot of time to encrypt large files and folders

I use two different softwares...
One is GhostSurf DataVault where I just copy the files to the vault and it encrypts on Military Standards.
The Second is Folder Lock, this is when I need to lock up the whole folder itself. For better protection you need to store the data in the folder that is inside the installation folder. You can still lock folders else where and are not accessible easily unless a qualified IT person is given the task of retrieving the files. This could be answer to your prayer because it works like click click boom.
Both are portable with a few tweaks I think because i don't use it on portable media.

If you are using windows xp pro you can use EFS which is built in. Then only your user account can open them (if you wish) and you only need to log into windows (so you are not always typing passwords). And it is fairly secure for home use, and not too bad for business use
That is assuming you want to keep the files on your computer (over 1 Gb - I am guessing videos, and to encrypt them it must be P0rn which you DO NOT EVER want to burn off to dvd to clear up HDD space. I did that and my mother found it, stuck it in the DVD player and lets say I had heaps of explaining to do)
