IE7 scores lowest in objective tests of standards-compliance out of IE7, Opera and Firefox. These tests are scientific and unbiased.
Opera is almost completely standards-compliant, with Firefox running a very close 2nd place.
What does this all mean? It means that IE7 fails to display a strictly-coded W3C web page correctly, wheras the other two are close to perfect.
Microsoft has never been very interested in complying with international standards, and would much prefer it if the entire web and all the associated standards were dictated and controlled by M$. Put simply, M$ are unhappy that they still haven't quite achieved world domination - with the Linux revolution now beginning, the M$ dream is never going to happen. Viva la revolucion! Viva Linux!

I tested all three beta versions of IE7 an I had no problems at all in my primary pc or my backup pc. I even installed the finished version of IE7 in both computers. There are no virus or spyware embedded or hidden in IE7, or my state of the art security would have found it and destroyed before the installation was completed. Sorry IE7 is not "AJOKE".
I use Windows XP Pro.

IE7 works well on my computer, and it just needs to reboot your computer several times to install. If you don't like the idea of IE7, use Firefox...
By the way, lots of computers around here run Windows 2000 without a hitch. If there was a marketing scheme like this, all the Windows 2000 computers would run Windows XP right now.

It's depends on how you see it. I installed IE7 myself but it's okay. I have Mozilla Firefox as well and have it as my default web browser since the IE is part of your system and can't get rid of it. I like Firefox better anyway

it works great on my machine. i like ie7 and firefox, there are features of both that i like. I like IE7's serch bar and it's ability to add search engines instead of just google like firefox's. I can search target, walmart, ebay, wikipedia, imdb, amazon.com, and download.com as well as google and yahoo right from the search bar. I wish firefox could do that.

Well, the last time I used IE was when it was still version 4. So yes, it is a joke, especially when there are better browsers like Firefox and Opera out there. As for Windows, pure evil (like cheerleaders).
