Software - October 2006

I'm trying to decide which one to get but there are so many to choose from so I tried to narrow it down some. Here are the ones I've been checking out and your comments and advice are most welcome. If you think its a good software tell me but I also want to know if its bad as well. I don't want to get something thats going to cause damage or ruin my computer. Thanks very much. The software is as follows:
Reg Scrub XP,...error killer,..reg cure,..registry fix,...tweak now reg cleaner,...and easycleaner. Your opinions and advice will be very helpful to me and greatly appreciated. Also if theres any registry cleaners/fixers that you think are better ones then what I have listed that you've tried and like please don't hesitate to comment on them. Thank you

I have downloaded some clips from the net.....
I tried to open those with the usual players but it failed!!!!
So, Please suggest me any player or software that can read the .rm files so that I can view the downloaded clips.....

i have a 2.4 GHz processor,1GB ram,80 GB hard disk,256 MB graphics. and i even tried modifying msconfig. and ran a virus scan. but they are all clear.does anyone know how to solve this?

I have a dell machine that got a problem on the mother board (Keyboard controller error). with time my machine couldnt communicate with the keyboard and hunged somewhere when booting.

I got a new Mother board, but i dont want to format my hard disk because i love the programmes that are there en i cant get them.
So with this new mother board in place the machine stops somewhere when booting. Can you assist me on how to use FIXBOOT OR FIXMBR and how to reach there or how to repair without reinstalling.

My computer has plugs in the back and front to plug in a VCR with a cable cord or with the three pronged cord. However, the software that came with the computer (HP Pavillion Media Center) seems to only think you should want to use this to set up and watch cable. I would VERY much like to use it to simply plug in the VCR, play one of my home videos, and have it record in digital format onto my computer so that I can edit it and save on DVD.

Do I need some other software for that? I do not know how I could get the computer to record this imput, or what software to DOWNLOAD.

Could I get some specific answers please? Thank you all.

well I'm celebrating my Mom's bday in march 2007 ..My problem is that I would love to have a video with pics, music and her friends opinions to show that day at the party But I don't have money to get it done professionally , I'm willing to buy a program and make one myself because I have a computer at home and a lot of time to spend in the process. Now here's is my question: Do you know of any program that can help me to create a video like that??? of course that is not hard to follow and understand.. Can anybody provide me with simple instructions for making my computer connect automatically to the internet when my computer starts up? I have Windows XP, and a high speed connection via modem. Is it just a matter of dragging and dropping my internet connection program icon to the Startup folder? Or does it get more complicated? I would prefer not to mess around with msconfig.

ok, i extract the rar file, which gives me a video file, and a bunch of other stuff(.R01 and stuff). now, can somebody IN SIMPLE ENGLISH please explain to me how i can burn this video file to a dvd (with a dvd burner). I see the video when i open the video file, but i cannot seem to burn it to a dvd.
