I'm having trouble downloading things, Not games or music but the security boxes for when you want to install plugins from msn or aol so you can upload pictures to your account etc, Can anyone advise me whats wrong please?

cAN anyone help me? my computers CD drive wont open and i cant imagine what is wrong but i dont think there is a disk stuck inside it...its a compaq computer if that helps any but i dont really think it will...

thank you for answering my Q about opening the folder in the same window? actually my folder options is set as open in the same window but it still opens a new window when i open any folder? i think it is something related to the registry! if u can help me on that i would be thankful.

I had no luck with any of the answers the people gave in the other response for antivirus and antispyware. I tried Norton, AVG, Antias, and finally found a disk to install Panda Platnum, but it will not accept my code, and I can not instert the new code .

It doesn't have to be the most current edition. I have the el cheapo knockoff, "Photo Studio", that came with my HP computer, but the layers feature on it won't let me put color UNDERNEATH my black & white linework. At least haven't been able to figure out how to. (I'm an old cartoonist trying to learn new tricks).

I upload video clips of my son onto Kodak and I would like to Burn a DVD for family members. My Comp has DVD burning capability but when I burnt a DVD it would only play on my computer. Are there any free software programs to use so I can view them on a DVD player? Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks

I encountered a worm or spyware this past week.
for many many hours I tried to remove several key exe's
(they are just popup generators)
ok
I goto del the file.. but the file is not visible (yes, I did my folder
options, show hidden, and show protected etc...)
but! can't see them..ah! but I can see them from the command prompt.
I know they are there as I could not overwrite them with a dummy file.
I could not overwrite them yes because they were in use, but... how do
you kill a process
that does attach itself to every exe that is ran. (yes... every exe
makes new instance)
no matter the exe I run.. like.. explorer, taskman, msconfig.. etc...
a new instance of that exe is ran...
I have removed it from startbatch, I even went through the registry and removed every reference to those file names...
(im wondering if there is a logoff batch...I never checked for that)
well... I just could not get rid of those two executables

I was experiencing a problem with my windows xp prof, when I tried to repair them with the original windows xp prof cd... An error occured during setup and now i CANNOT boot up my computer due to an error after the win xp load window...

An error pops up abt the winlogon.exe....
"Winlogon.exe - Bad Image. The application or dll C:\Windows\System32\wintrust.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."


This is the error i get and once i click OK (which is the only option provided) the computer restarts and the same thing happends.....

Anyone's will to help is appreciated...

I have a computer problem which is formattimg . I have four drives (c:,d:,e:,f:). When I am trying to format the C: drive by using the startup method. the format is done ,but c: is not formatted other drive which is e: drive.
