I have a computer problem which is formattimg . I have four drives (c:,d:,e:,f:). When I am trying to format the C: drive by using the startup method. the format is done ,but c: is not formatted other drive which is e: drive.
plz help as fast as possible.

The above respondent is right.

You can boot with the Windows XP disk and then format whichever drive you want.

You'll find it easier to format with the disk.

You can not format the C: Drive from Windows, as it is used by Windows. If you are planning a reformat and complete re-installation, then format the C Drive with your OS CD, there is a step to partition and format your HDD in all OS installations.

Do you want to wipe out your Windows by formating? If you do, go to C: right click mouse and choose format. Goodbye Windows all your files.

If you format drive C you will wipe out your Windows...Is this your intent? to start over from scratch?

go to c: drive on dos command

and type format c:/s/q/u
then enter
