How can somebody find out my IP adress? If I post an article on Wikipedia for example, can somebody find out my exact location? I'm kinda paranoid about such stuff. Thanks!

I have friend who is angry with me. i am countinously mailing him but he is not replying. i dont have any othere way to contact him. now i want to check weather he is getting my mails, reading them and not replying or he is not reading them at all. so i want to know his password without changing it so that i know the exact stutation. What can I do to protect my computer from viruses. My computer is good and it's working fine but the problems are that it restarts itself and daemon tools doesn't work so I can't install a game.,With the registry cleaner I don't help my computer in any way because I downloaded 1 from www.thepiratebay.com it deletes some problems and I downloaded anti-viruses from that site with serial but can anyone say what are the best registry cleaners and anti-viruses with serial from torrent sites that I can download to fix my problems?

I turned on my computer one day to find it running REALLY slowly,
I assumed it to be a parasite or spyware, and whatever I try to get rid of it doesn’t work:
-I first tried to run the Task Manager which it responded by saying it was disabled by the administrator. I tried to delete the block in the REGedit but it just keeps reappearing.
-I then ran the system restore, to find it disabled and all my previous reset points deleted. Even after reactivating it and attempting to restore, it fails to do so successfully.
-Deleting temporary files and cookies and such took forever (it kept crashing my explorer) but I did it in the end.
-I’ve run AD-Aware several times, but it just keeps finding more stuff to delete.
-WHATEVER spyware I run, it ALWAYS FAILS TO UPDATE MY DEFINITIONS.
-When I search for things on Google, it keeps redirecting me to another search engine.
-My security settings for IE refuse to be set below Medium, and although the bar appears, it will not let me run ActiveX.

Or is it like the Lavasoft Ad-Aware se, free forever as long as it is downloaded in your computer (it even comes with updates). I just downloaded Zonealarm Anti-virus only to find that it is free but only for the trial period of 15 days.
Or any other recommendations for good and free forever anti-virus?
