I have a site that should interest you, aimed at clearing trojans and viruses. It is a new, a work in progress, but has already helped a number of people here on Yahoo Answers in the week it's been open.

I could give you all the standard links - Ad-Aware etc, but there are in detail there. They are also simple step by step guides to clearing infections.

Enjoy and holler if you need help, you can reach me here via IM, or via email on the site, or a forum :)

On a separate site is a guide to tackling this with Outlook.

Section covers Spam in detail, obviously. Someone once sent unacceptable material to my children and I went off the deep-end. *twitch*

Probably not applicable for you, but you can also sort this by using SpamAssasin and writing custom .procmail filters

You can stop this happening by going into the Registry and deleting the file or files. A common culprit is known as xxxemailxxx and it's subkeys. To find out more about the Registry including the removal of spam, malware, adware and viruses go to www.bleepingcomputer.com and click onto Tutorials and then click onto Demystifying the Registry.

1) Do not open the mail just delete everything in Junk Mail
2) Block the address from e-mailing you.
3) Get virus protection that will block the virus from destroying your computer. Avast.com is free.

i think you have a setting for your bulk folder where the isp does'nt send you stuff you've designated as spam and i know that's the folder where yahoo puts spam stuff . when i check my mail i just click the empty beside the bulk folder i never open it unless i'm expecting something that might accidently get sent to bulk.

You can't...This is the age of the Internet and with it comes Viruses too...
If it's already in your bulk mail I wouldn't worry about it...Just mark it as spam and it will be put on your Blocked list...Then you won't get that email anymore...

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:

One option is to download all of your new e-mail onto something like a portable drive like a zip drive. Then scan only that drive for viruses.

You can't...it's probably from a fake email address anyway. Just keep emptying your Bulk folder and don't open the email.
