i have run all the appropriate scans and norton and yahoo say that i'm clean. how do i stop these annoying ads to buy a different program or more protection. they keep telling me that i'm infected with all sorts of different stuff and it is making me nervous and it interupts what i'm doing.

sorry this is dull but i need help! my AVG trial has just run out and and pc is running real slow now. i went on the AVG site thinking it's be straightforward to buy and download the full version straight away but now i'm on the site i'm confused - can i download it if i pay for it online or is it gonna get sent? am i being thick? probably !

I am trying to remove programs not used on our home computer, since recently it has been running a little slow. No pictures on hard drive, all on CD's and have removed programs we no longer use; i.e. games, etc. While doing this I noticed, that microsoft has many security updates for our XP version in our "add or remove" file. Do we need them all, or just the most recent ones? Haven't removed any yet, waiting to hear what others "know" or "think". Thanks. God Bless

The program is on the c drive c:\users\connie\appdata\
roaming\microsoft. There is always something following it, ie 2o7, and Adware as well as McAffee find them and delete them. Should I have this program or is it one to just draw the crap in on my computer?

I dont even have any programs on and it downloads like crazy and also it uploads. Im using NetMeter and the first ten minutes I had it on, it downloaded 221 MB and 30MB uploaded. I have run numerous antispyware, antiadware, antivirus and nothing seems to help. Can someone help. Thanks in advance!

my computer won't start any programs and when i click any thing i can hear the C/drive running and the program won't start, only about 2 programs can start if that, and it takes a matter of minutes to do so, and one more thing, the icons on the bottom right by the time, when i right click them nothing comes up..: PLEASE HELP ....p.s. the only reason i can post this is because i have a wii....... but still PLEASE HELP

This sucks, I checked my pc for virus protection, and sure enough my stepdad had taken it off.
I downloaded something on limewire yesterday and Boom, ads like crazy. I've set everything on high, pop up blockers everything, but seriously what can I do?

I made a slide show with music behind it. I would like to e-mail it but the mailer daemon keeps rejecting it saying it's too many bytes for e-mail and won't pass it through.
Is there any other way to do this.
