This sucks, I checked my pc for virus protection, and sure enough my stepdad had taken it off.
I downloaded something on limewire yesterday and Boom, ads like crazy. I've set everything on high, pop up blockers everything, but seriously what can I do?
[I cannot delete everything out of my computer by the way]

Using Limewire to steal a virus-infested anti-virus program, is not exactly the brightest idea that I have ever heard of.

Especially when there are good, free, legal, and un-infected anti-virus programs available for free.

Such as Avria Anti-Vir:

and Active Virus Shield:

You need to reinstall first an anti-virus program. You can get "AVG Free" at http://download.com for free. Install it. It is a very small progam, and unlike Norton and the other "big boys", does not slow down your computer. It also automatically updates itself daily if you have an Internet connection on.

Then from the same place get Spybot Seek&Destroy for free. Install and run it. Sounds like what you have is a "spyware", not a "virus", so you need to have BOTH programsto clean the PC. After than, you will need to run Spybot about once a week. It does not run all the time in the background, so it odes not slow down the PC. But you do have to run it manual.

Try system recovery and maybe you can go back to the way it was before you downloaded that file. Not sure if this will work 100%
