You need to get a hold of your system disks and do a complete format of your harddrive. This is the last ditch thing you can try.

First off, go to safe mode by hitting F8 when you reboot the computer. Take your computer off the net. If you have antivirus software, run it.

If you do not have antivirus software, then my next suggestion is to do a system restore when you are in safe mode. Restore to a time prior to downloading from Limewire. If this is possible, get Limewire off that computer.

It is a bad piece of code that I hate tremendously and I am surprised that people still want to use it.

Good Luck

This is what happens when you play with fire, P2P. Nothing wrong with limewire, the programs you download are usually infected from the pc of the person you are sharing the file from. Not worth sharing files.

Run "online scanner", direct from the server of Kaspersky Lab
Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. Will not conflict with your own virus program. Complete the entire scan that can take upto two hours depending on how many running processes & how many programs you have installed. Will kill the viruses in real time. After reboot.

Don't download from Limewire for one. But get Norton of McAffee and starting running it like there's no tomorrow. If that doesn't work, bring it to a place that specializes in computer repair (and make sure they're reputable, not a bunch of kids just tinkering around).

You need good antivirus and antispyware software to get rid of this junk. Google offers a very nice free software package that includes Norton AntiVirus. I have used this package with good success. It also comes with a free spyware scanner and lots of other free goodies. And you can trust it because it doesn't come from some no-name company. You can get it here:

People who steal software and other copyrighted material using Limewire get what they deserve. Sorry.

There is just no honor amongst thieves these days, is there?
